I’m headed out for a much needed pedi today and am excited about the Essie Fall ‘09 color palette. I think I’m going to go w/”Angora Cardi” (Bottom Left) today and wait a month or so to move into the richer “Midnight Cami” (Bottom Right)…Goodtimes.
I learned something new today. I went to get lunch and a co-worker said “What are you into today?” I quickly replied “Sushi”…. craving it today. He laughed and said “That’s brave!”…Why? Because apparently sushi on Monday isn’t as good because in NY the seafood isn’t delivered fresh on Mondays…who knew!?!?!?! ………..I had a smoothie instead….

Sunday Funday. I’m headed to Diablo Royale, a great Mexican spot in the West Village and home of the famous “Rickies”. A Ricky is a Dos Equis Beer w/a giant glob of Frozen Margarita in the bottom. 100% AWESOME!!!! Also noteworthy….the grilled corn appetizer. Can’t wait!!!

I had these fabulous cupcakes while walking in soho today. They are all the size of a quarter and you get 3 for 3 dollars (given how small they are, one could argue they are expensive).
They were the perfect portion to satisfy my sweet tooth while having me walk away guilt free. I highly recommend.
I had to get some wrapping paper today and went in a little New York Gem called “Kate’s Paperie”. The ideas are endless if you don’t mind spending bout $5.00 per wrapping sheet. Check out their website…a crafty gift wrapper’s dream!

I am not ashamed. While many people are DEVASTATED that Sanjay Gupta has turned down his bid to be our Surgeon General…I am THRILLED because it means I can get turned on by him talking about all things over my head in medicine for a few more years. My Aunt made my night by sending this vintage shot of (Left to Right) my cousin Virginia, myself and my cousin Jill circa 1987. If you could only see my fabulous bathing suit w/3 pairs of sunglasses on the front…and look at that attitude I have…I love it! Some things never change. When I see this …I wish I could go back to a time of pop, pools and talent shows in the front yard of my aunt and uncles house in Buffalo. Those were the days…
Maoz Vegetarian
I am bananas for this place. It is fast food that is vegetarian (falafel based sandwiches and salads), healthy and fresh everyday. Fiber addicts beware: If you have too much fiber in the chickpea, falafel, barley salad goodness…you might have a tummy ache like I do now…oh well…all in the name of health! In NY, located on 8th Street between University and Broadway…check it out :)!
